The La Sombra Campground is located among willow and cottonwood along the Rio Don Fernando River. Visitors can fish for cutthroat, rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Wildlife in the area includes black bears, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, deer elk, and bald eagles.
This campground contains 10 individual tent camping sites, and three trailer sites. Trailers must be less than 16'.

Facilities: Restrooms are provided at La Sombra Campground.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at La Sombra Campground.

Best Time To Visit: La Sombra Campground is open May to October.

Fees: A camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is handicap accessible.

Rules: La Sombra Campground is located within the Carson National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: La Sombra Campground is located 8 miles east of Taos along US Highway 64.
