Located inside the Fenton Lake State Park, the Hal Baxter Memorial Trail circles most of the state park. This two-mile trail is rated "easy" and will provide scenery along the way.

Directions: To get to Hal Baxter Memorial Trail from Albuquerque, drive south on I-25, turn right onto NM State Highway 44, travel to San Ysidro. Fenton Lake State Park is 33 miles northwest of San Ysidro via NM Highways 4 and 126.
