Gilita Campground is located approximately 55 miles from the town of Reserve. The campground is tucked back away from the main road and each campsite is adjacent to the creek. NM 159 is closed in winter months beyond Mogollon. Access from Forest Road 141 and State Route 28 is not recommended due to winter weather.
This campground provides eight individual campsites for tents.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings are provided at Gilita Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Gilita Campground is typically open April through November.

Fees: There is no fee for camping at this campground.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: This campground is located within the Gila National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To get to Gilita Campground from Lordsburg, drive east on I-10, turn left onto I-25, travel to Truth or Consequences. Continue north on I-25 to US-60, turn left. Drive to NM State Highway 12, turn left again, travel to Reserve. Gilita Campground is located 55 miles SE of Reserve via FR 141, SR 28.
