Cherry Creek Campground is located along parts of the Trail of the Mountain Spirits Scenic By-Way. The campground is located along Highway 15 and is surrounded by dense mixed conifer. It is a cool place in the summer for people to enjoy a day's outing or for those wishing to camp overnight.
If there has been a little snow during the winter, you will find a trickle of water in the small stream that runs through the campground. It is possible during heavy rains for this creek to overflow.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, and grills are provided at Cherry Creek Campground. Drinking water is not provided.

Directions: To get to Cherry Creek Campground from:

Lordsburg travel north on NM State Highway 90 to Silver City. Cherry Creek Campground is located 14 miles north of Silver City. It will be on the east side of State Highway 15.
Truth or Consequences Travel south on I-25 to NM State Highway 152. Travel to Silver City. Cherry Creek Campground is located 14 miles north of Silver city. It will be on the east side of the State Highway 15.
