Brantley Lake State Park

Located outside of Carlsbad, the lake at Brantley Lake State Park was created in 1988 by the completion of a four-mile-long dam across the Pecos River. The dam holds back some 42,000 acre-feet of water. By being the southern-most state park in New Mexico, this man-made lake offers a variety of recreational activities throughout the year.
