Bluewater Lake State Park is situated on the north flank of the Zuni Mountains in the Las Tusas Basin. The 1,200 acre reservoir is located at 7,400 ft in a valley carved in shale and limestone.
Summer temperatures range from lows around 52 to highs around 86. Winter temps range from lows of 16 to highs around 48.

Facilities: Campgrounds at Bluewater Lake State Park offer 140 developed sites, 14 with electric hookups, and RV dump station. Restrooms, showers, and 2 group picnic areas are also provided.

Reservations: Reservations are available at Bluewater Lake State Park from May 1 through October 31 for camp sites with electrical hook-ups and for areas for group camping, picnics and BBQ's.

Best Time To Visit: Bluewater Lake State Park is open year round.

Fees: Day usage and overnight fee do apply at the Bluewater Lake State Park.

Accessibility: The restrooms at Bluewater Lake State Park are handicapped accessible.

Rules: Know all park rules and regulations, which are posted in the park. Drive only on designated roadways and obey posted speed limits. Camp only in the designated areas. Keep pets on leashes.

Directions: To get to Bluewater Lake State Park from Gallup Travel east on I-40. Bluewater Lake State Park is 28 miles west of Grants via I-40 and NM 412.
