Black Canyon Campground

The Black Canyon Campground is situated in a mixed conifer pine and fir forest. There are 42 individual camping sites, six of which are for tent camping only. There is a good mix of sun and shade here. Restrooms, drinking water, grills, and picnic tables are provided.
The rainy season is July and August. Temperatures often cool considerably in the evenings. The highway to the campground is paved. Campground is adjacent to a New Mexico State Park where there is a public telephone.
