Libby is an outdoor enthusiast's playground. Summer offers fishing, hiking, camping, boating, biking, wildlife viewing, and more. Winter brings downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing and snowmobiling. Whatever the season, the Kootenai National Forest contains 2.2 million acres and 3 wilderness areas in which to play!
The nearby Kootenai National Forest has 40 Forest Service campgrounds. Some campgrounds are open year round; others are open during the summer months only.
The Yaak, Fisher, Tobacco, Bull, and Vermillion Rivers are all near to Libby and offer excellent fishing.
Do you like geocaching? Libby, Montana offers over 490 opportunities for geocaching. When you visit Libby, be sure to bring your GPS and look for geocaches near Libby.
