Best Time To Visit: West Fork Fishtrap Creek Picnic Area is open year round but there is no water in the winter months and the weather is harsh so the best time to visit would be between the early spring and the late summer. Fees: West Fork Fishtrap Creek Picnic Area does not charge any fees. Accessibility: West Fork Fishtrap Creek Picnic Area completely handicapped accessible. Rules: While at West Fork Fishtrap Creek Picnic Area all pets must be on a leash and remember to clean up after yourself. Directions: To get to West Fork Fishtrap Creek Picnic Area from Thompson Falls, travel 5 miles east on state highway 200. Turn left (north) onto the paved Thompson River Road (do not take the graveled road). Travel 15 miles north on the Thompson River Road. Turn left (west) on Fishtrap Creek Road #516 for 10 miles. Turn left (south) on the West Fork Fishtrap Creek Road. Campground is on the right after 0.1 mile.
