There are lots of great hiking opportunities such as the Gold Rush Trail which starts at the picnic area near site #4. The trail is less than 5 miles long, is pretty steep, and ends at the CC Divide. It climbs from 3500 feet to 5100 feet. The abundance of trails makes this the perfect place for any nature enthusiast who is interested in nature and scenery viewing.
There are vault toilets and water is available in the summer months.
While enjoying the great outdoors remember to keep the wilderness wild by cleaning up after yourself. It is very important that we keep our National Forests clean because they are some of the last places in the world where nature has a home. National Forests are a place where animals live, trees grow, and people enjoy themselves. Remember to that anything you bring into the Forest needs to be taken back out. Pack it in, pack it out!
