Yaak River Campground is immediately adjacent to US Highway 2 and is located at the confluence of the Kootenai and Yaak rivers. A natural forest atmosphere encompasses the campground which is divided by the beautiful Yaak River.

There are 44 campsites and all of which can accommodate RVs and trailers, however there is a maximum length limit of 32 feet. There is a per night fee and reservations are required. There is also a 14 day stay limit.

There is a beautiful day use picnic area that does charge a fee and it does require reservations.

There is an undeveloped boat launch (fish species include rainbow, cutthroat trout, and whitefish), highway access, Clark Fork and Yaak rivers, wildlife viewing opportunities.

There are vault toilets and fresh drinking water and there is even garbage so no worries.

Best Time To Visit: Yaak River Campground is open year-round; managed season May 15 through September 10.

Rules: While at Yaak River Campground all pets must be on a leash and remember to clean up after yourself.
