Delmoe Lake is a peaceful lake with lots of recreational opportunities.
There is an abundance of fishing in the area due to this lakes year round availability. There is ice fishing in the winter and lake fishing in the summer. Redside Shiner, Westslope Cutthroat Trout, White Sucker, and Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout all can be found in Delmoe Lake. The proper license and permit are needed to fish.
There is boating allowed in this lake and even motorized boats are allowed some come and fish right out in the middle of the lake.
There is swimming allowed in Delmoe Lake.
Vault toilets and fresh drinking water can be found at the nearby campground but there is no garbage so please remember to pack out whatever you pack in.

Best Time To Visit: The best time to visit Delmoe Lake is between the early spring and the late summer, unless you are going ice fishing which Delmoe Lake offers in the winter.

Fees: The lake itself does not charge fees but campgrounds or other activities in the area might.

Rules: While at Delmoe Lake remember to clean up after yourself and have all required boating and fishing licenses.

Directions: To get to Delmoe Lake from Butte, travel East on I-90E/I-15S for approximately 7 miles. Take Homestake exit #233 to then Delmoe Lake Road (Forest Road 222) northeast for about 10 miles. Follow the signs to the campground.
