 | | About EatStayPlay.com | | EatStayPlay.com was officially started in December of 2002 after Kim, aka The Outdoor Princess, graduated from the University of Arizona. But, the business really began the summer before that when all of the National Forests in Arizona were closed due to fires and the EatStayPlay.com "Royal" Family had to find a new place for their summer camping trip. Join me on a little trip back in time...The EatStayPlay.com "Royal" Family went to Priest Gulch Campground- a beautiful private campground on the Dolores River. However, none of the family had ever vacationed in southern Colorado and were unsure what there was to do in the area: i.e where could they fish? Like most visitors to an area, the EatStayPlay.com "Royal" Family stopped by a literature rack and picked up tons of brochures about what there was to do for FISHING in southern Colorado. So, following the advice of a brochure, they hopped in the truck and drove to Groundhog Reservoir- known for great trout fishing. Three hours in the truck (with the Labrador!) driving over bumpy back roads to get to the lake. | | Three hours in the truck! 50 feet of mud between them and the water! Groundhog Reservoir was being drained! There were three very unhappy members of the EatStayPlay.com "Royal" Family. There was ONE very happy dog! |
| On the way back to the campground, Bruce, aka ESP Boss, and Kim began discussing the power of a website that would be able to offer information about ALL the things they liked to do: camp, fish, hike, geocache, and kayak. After many long months of research, development, programming, and design, EatStayPlay.com went online March 11th, 2004. However, we consider July 1, 2005 to be our official launch date because since that date, EatStayPlay.com has been live on the Internet 24/7. We now have over 43,000 webpages. EatStayPlay.com is dedicated to providing the best information about an area so you can plan great vacations, weekend getaways, and afternoon adventures. | | | Our Team | | Bruce Eldredge, CEO and ESP Boss ESP Boss brings to EatStayPlay.com 40 years of outdoor recreation experience.
