There is camping nearby Mountain Home at Bruneau Dunes, Three Island Crossing Park, the Boise National Forest, Anderson Ranch Reservoir, and in the Trinity Mountains. Mountain Home is also a great jumping off point for boating, kayaking, sailing, wndsurfing and rafting at Anderson Ranch Reservoir, the South Fork Boise River, and the Bruneau River.
Mountain Home also offers many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking at Bruneau Sand Dunes, the Emigrant Foothills, and Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. Winter in Mountain Home brings plenty of chances for snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the Boise National Forest.
