The 750,000-acre monument contains a diverse array of volcanic features including volcanic rifts, cinder cones, spatter cones, shield volcanoes and lava tubes (caves). From Arco, visitors can access this great site for hiking, bird watching, photography, backpacking and caving.King Mountain, in the Lost River Range north of Arco near Moore, is a popular site for hang gliding and paragliding. Near King Mountain in the Arco Pass area of the Lost River Range is one of the most unusual scenic features of Idaho.
