Clearwater River - Middle Fork - Tubing
This river provides an easy float along scenic Highway 12. Wildlife viewing is good here, and the river is easy to access. Float trips begin in Lowell.

Clearwater River - South Fork - Rafting
This river offers class I-IV boating along it's 63.8 mile length. The most popular sections for paddling include the class III-IV Bully Creek to Highway 13 (5.8 mi.), also known as the Mickey Mouse run. The Clearwater River can be difficult to run due to rocks and logs. Caution is advised.

Clearwater River Raft Trip- Middle Fork - Rafting
The river provides an easy float along the river. Wildlife viewing is good here and the river is very easy to access. Float trips often begin in Lowell which is 22 miles upriver from Kooskia. Lewis and Clark interpretive trips are also available. Facilities are not available.

Dworshak State Park - Swimming
This park is located on the western shore of the Dworshak Reservoir. Boat launching is provided most of the year. A majority of the campsites are developed with electricity and water hookups.

Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail - Boating
In 1803 President Thomas Jefferson commissioned Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the newly acquired Louisiana Purchase. The voyage of was made up of 45 men, a keelboat, two pirogues, and a dog. At 3,700 miles in length, Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is the second longest of the 23 National Scenic & National Historic Trails in the United States and it crosses 11 states.

Wallowa-Whitman National Forest - Water Activities In National Forests
The Wallowa -Whitman National Forest contains 2.3 million acres located in the northeast corner of Oregon. The Forest crosses into Hell's Canyon National Recreation Area located in Idaho. Recreational opportunities within the Forest include fishing, camping, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, boating, and much more.
