Idaho Panhandle National Forests - Fishing In National Forests
Idaho Panhandle National Forest comprise about 2.5 million acres of public lands which lie within "the panhandle" of northern Idaho and extend into eastern Washington and western Montana. Recreational opportunities within the Idaho Panhandle National Forest includes camping, picnicking, fishing, mountain biking, ATV riding, hunting, hiking, and horseback riding.

Lake Pend Oreille - Lakes & Reservoirs
This lake is the largest inland lake Idaho and is among the largest in North America as well. Visitors enjoy fishing, wildlife viewing, and boating on the lake. Facilities are provided at the lake as well.

Moyie River - Rivers & Streams
This river makes a good spring run for a majority of boaters. Class II and III whitewater rapids are consistent and fast-flowing. Boating season is usually short, lasting through May and June. Some facilities are provided.

Priest Lake - Lakes & Reservoirs
This lake is actually two lakes connected by the Pend Oreille River. The lake itself is renowned for the trophy-sized fish that are there. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities on the lake. Some facilities are provided.

Priest River - Rivers & Streams
The river winds form Priest Lake to its confluence with the Pend Oreille River. It is popular for floating, kayaking, and rafting. Wildlife viewing is exceptional while traveling down the river. There are no facilities.

Robinson Lake - Lakes & Reservoirs
This lake is a small lake near the Canadian border. It offers visitors a variety of opportunities for recreation. Non- motorized boats are the only type of boats allowed on the lake. No facilities are provide.

Spirit Lake Area - Rivers & Streams
This area is one of only two sealed-bottom lakes in the world. It is located at 2,400 feet in elevation, and is the highest of the panhandle lakes. Boat ramps and fishing are provided. Wildlife viewing is also a popular recreational activity among visitors.
