Payette River
This portion of the river offers easy access to rapids of moderate difficulty and is a fine run for boaters with basic skills. Beaches provide areas to swim in. Visitors can also float down the clean mountain river with forested banks and hawks or osprey flying overhead. Facilities are not available.

Ponderosa State Park
This park spans across a 1,000 acre peninsula. The character of the park is created by diverse topography. Visitors find this particular park to be a great place for bird watching.
