The Bureau of Land Management administers public lands within a framework of numerous laws. The most comprehensive of these is the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (FLPMA). All Bureau policies, procedures and management actions must be consistent with FLPMA and the other laws that govern use of the public lands. Rules: Unknown Directions: The BLM Idaho State Office (ISO) building is located off I-84 (Exit 50A). Follow the exit until heading west on Overland Road. The ISO is located on South Vinnell Way in the three-story brick building just west of WalMart. In addition to BLM, the Fish and Wildlife Service is also located in the building. The two-story brick building located north of the ISO is the Boise National Forest headquarters and the Social Security Administration. Visitors may access the ISO by entering the building via the north entrance along the walkway between the two buildings. | | |
