Eagle Island State Park is a good alternative for summer fun. The park features grassy picnic areas with tables, a group shelter, equestrian trails and a waterslide. It's a getaway near the capital city of Idaho; Boise.

Facilities: Eagle Island State Park provides restrooms, ground shelter, and showers.

Reservations: Eagle Island State Park requires reservations for large groups wishing to occupy the water slide.

Best Time To Visit: Eagle Island State Park is open from 7:00am until sunset. The waterslide is open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8 pm during the summer

Fees: There is a fee to ride the water slide.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility.

Rules: No running around the water slide. Pets and glass containers are not allowed in the park.

Directions: To reach Eagle Island State Park from Boise start out going southeast on west Grove Street toward south 6th Street for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto south 6th Street for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto west Front Street. Continue to follow US-20 W for 1.5 miles. Merge onto west Chinden Boulevard toward Garden City for 10.1 miles. Turn right onto north Linder Road for 1.5 miles. Turn right onto west Hatchery Road for 0.4 miles to 4000 Hatchery Road.
