Curlew Campground is located in an open sagebrush area in the Curlew Grassland. The Stone Reservoir is located nearby, and it has a boat ramp to allow fishing access. Wildlife in the area include water fowl.

Directions: To reach Curlew Campground from Preston, travel west on State Highway 36 to State Highway 38. On State Highway 38 go west to Holbrook. From Holbrook go south on Forest Road 80 about 10 miles to Forest Road 20, on which travel north about 1 mile to the campground.
