Zoo Boise is home to over 201 animals from 83 various species. They range from the tiny walking stick to the majestic Amur tigers. The zoo offers a unique educational experience unlike any other offered in the Treasure Valley. Zoo Boise is proud to be an accredited member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association. AZA member institutions are important to the education of visitors outside the park. They are also the link to helping animals in their native countries as well. As an accredited member of the AZA, Zoo Boise is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for the animals, an educational and fun experience for all visitors, and a better future for the creatures with whom the zoo cares for.
