Saint Maries River is a good spring run for rafting and kayaking. The whitewater is gentle and the surrounding forests provide exceptional scenery. This run goes through a secluded canyon with a thick pine forest providing many opportunities to view wildlife. It is a relatively overlooked river in Idaho, making it an un-crowded float experience. Fishing is popular along the river as well. Campsites are provided, and the river is lined with boat ramps.

Directions: To reach Saint Maries River from Coeur D'Alene start out going west on East Garden Avenue toward North 4th Street for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto Northwest Boulevard for 0.5 miles. Take the US-95 ramp toward Plummer for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto US-95 for 33.1 miles. Turn left onto Cedar Street. Continue to follow ID-5 for 18.3 miles. ID-5 becomes 15th Street for 0.1 miles. Stay straight to go onto ID-5 for 0.5 miles. Turn right onto 4th Street. Continue to follow 4th Street for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto West Jefferson Avenue for 0.1 miles. End at Saint Maries.
