South Fork Campground 3 is located in a forested canyon on the South Fork Clearwater River. Fishing is available on the river. Visitors might see deer in the area. This campground is the home to a lot of wildlife. Hunting is allowed when in season.

Supplies are available 20 miles out of the campground in Elk City. This campground tends to be popular on the weekends in the summertime. Visitors need to beware of the lodging trucks passing through on the highway. The maximum spur is 30 feet long. There are 6 single sites available at the campground.
