Priest Lake is a 25-mile long lake that is actually two lakes connected by a scenic 2.5 mile Pend Oreille River. It contains 26,000 acres of clear, pure, mountain water. Priest Lake has rustic lodge retreats on its western shore and a state park on its eastern shore. The lake is renowned for its big mackinaw and trophy-sized rainbow and cutthroat trout. Camping, fishing, golf, hiking and boating are just some of the activities visitors can enjoy.

Facilities: Priest Lake provides lodging and a boat launch.

Reservations: Priest Lake requires reservations for visitors wishing to stay in the Log Cabins.

Best Time To Visit: Priest Lake is open daily during daylight hours.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: Handicap access is not available.

Directions: To reach Priest Lake from Sandpoint start out going south on North 4th Avenue toward West Cedar Street for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto West Cedar Street for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto North 5th Avenue. Continue to follow US-2 for 22.7 miles. Turn right onto 9th Street. Continue to follow NF-6 for 2.4 miles. Turn right onto Dickensheet Road for 5.6 miles. Turn right for 0.1 miles. End at Coolin.
