Pettit Lake is an alpine lake south of Stanley in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains. Camp sites are available. There are trails beginning at Pettit Lake that take hikers into the Sawtooth Mountains. These trails include the Toxaway Lake Trail, an 18 mile round trip hike with popular views. Visitors are free to go boating in the river, but fishing is not allowed.

Facilities: Pettit Lake provides a boat launch and dock, restrooms, and campsites.

Reservations: Pettit Lake does not require reservations.

Best Time To Visit: Pettit Lake is open daily during daylight hours.

Fees: Trailhead fees are charged.

Accessibility: Handicap accessibility is not provided.

Directions: To reach Pettit Lake from Hailey start out going northwest on Picaro Street toward Bullion Street for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto Bullion Street for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Main Street. Continue to follow ID-75 for 11.7 miles. Turn right onto 2nd Street East for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto Leadville Avenue North on 0.1 miles. End at Ketchum.
