Orofino Creek intermingles private lands with the USFS lands, especially downstream. Visitors will notice historic mining and more recent mining and timber harvest on private and USFS lands. The Orofino drainage provides anglers with relatively easy access to most streams due to the road network. Anglers can fish for naturally-reproducing fish as well as fish stocked by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

Facilities: This creek provides many primitive campgrounds in the Orofino Creek drainage.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Orofino Creek.

Best Time To Visit: Orofino Creek is open yearlong.

Fees: Camping fees may be charged for campgrounds.

Directions: To reach Orofino Creek from Nezperce, take Pine Street approximately 2 miles, continuing to follow ID-62 to Russell Ridge. Take Russell Ridge 6 miles to Greer Grade Road. Take Greer Grade Road approximately 5 miles to US-12. Take US-12 8 1/2 miles to ID-7. Take ID-7 become South Michigan Avenue. Take Michigan Avenue to Main Street.
