Newsome Campground is located among the lodgepole pines on the Newsome creek. Fishing is available on the creek. Supplies are available 17 miles from the campground in Elk City. Newsome historic townsite is nearby the campground. There is a lot of wildlife in the campground area. Visitors might see deer, elk, moose and bears. Hunting is allowed when in season. There is no drinking water available. The maximum spur is 20 feet long. There are 6 single sites available at the campground.
