Moyie River makes a good spring run for intermediate to experienced boaters. It delivers a lot of excitement in just one day on Class II and III whitewater rapids. The whitewater is consistent and fast-flowing, dropping 30 feet a mile through a cedar forest. The boating season is short, usually lasting through May and June. Wildlife viewing and fishing are also good activities in the Moyie River.
