Lake Walcott State Park is located at the northwest end of the Lake Walcott Project. Lake Walcott State Park is perfect for camping and fishing. Picnickers enjoy the acres of grass beneath groves of stately eastern hardwoods. Paved trails connect restrooms, group shelters, an interpretive kiosk and boat launch with the modern campgrounds. The park serves as a convenient base from which to explore the Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge, which offers some of the best birding in southern Idaho.

Facilities: Lake Walcott State Park offers electricity, restrooms, and showers.

Reservations: Lake Walcott State Park requires reservations for campgrounds.

Best Time To Visit: Lake Walcott State Park is open from January 14 to December 31.

Fees: A campground fee is charged.

Directions: To reach Lake Walcott State Park from Burley, start out going north on Albion Avenue toward 13th Street for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Main Street. Continue to follow I-84 Boulevard east for 4.2 miles. I-84 Boulevard east becomes ID-24 west for 4.7 miles. Turn left onto Oneida Street. Continue to follow ID-24. for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Meridian Rd for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Read Road. Continue to follow Read Road for 5.7 miles. Turn a slight right onto east 400 North. Continue to follow east 400 North for 5.3 miles to 959 East Minidoka Dam.
