Ice Hole Campground is set in a fir and pine forest on Johnson Creek. Visitors can fish for trout and perch or swim in the creek. The wildlife in the area includes deer, elk, bears, raptors, and waterfowl. Deadhorse Rapids is about a 0.25 miles to the north.
