Hagerman Valley Historical Museum contains a replica of the Hagerman horse, a 3.2 million-year-old zebra-type horse, along with area history, family records and local displays. It also displays a state recognized Indian site that was located in the valley. The museum is housed in a 1909 Hagerman bank building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Hagerman Valley Historical Museum lets visitors see the actual fossils of prehistoric animals found in the Hagerman Fossil Beds.
