Elks Flat Campground is located on the banks of Dog Creek across the highway from South Fork Boise River in a shaded and quiet locale. Fishing in either the creek or the river is possible as well as sightings of deer, elk, humming birds, and black bears.

Directions: To reach Elks Flat Campground from Mountain Home, travel northeast on US Highway 20 about 30 miles to Forest Road 61. Take Forest Road 61 north about 21 miles to reach the campground.
