Dworshak State Park is located among trees and open meadows on the western shore of Dworshak Reservoir. The area is known for its moderate summer nights and mild winter temperatures. Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and water-skiing are activities that await park visitors. A boat ramp and handling dock provide boat launching most of the year. A fish-cleaning station is nearby to help with the day's catch.

The campsites at Freeman Creek Campground each feature a picnic table and fire grill. Of the 105 sites, 46 have water and electrical hookups. Twenty-five sites are provided at lakeside for tent camping. Sites are also available for use by the disabled. Four camping cabins are also available by reservation.

Facilities: Dworshak State Park provides developed campgrounds with restrooms, electricity, kitchen areas, and group shelter.

Reservations: Dworshak State Park requires reservations for group campgrounds.

Best Time To Visit: Dworshak State Park starts quiet time at 10:00pm. Check out is at 1:00pm.

Fees: The campground here imposes a motor-vehicle fee.

Accessibility: This state park is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Visitors must camp in designated camping area.

Directions: To reach Dworshak State Park from Nezperce, start out going west on 4th Avenue toward Oak Street. Continue to follow 4th Avenue for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Pine Street. Continue to follow ID-62 for 1.7 miles. Stay straight to go onto Russell Ridge Road for 6.0 miles. Turn right onto Greer Grade Road for 5.1 miles. Turn left onto US-12 for 8.5 miles. Turn right onto ID-7 for 0.1 miles. ID-7 becomes Michigan Ave 0.1 miles.
