Clearwater River Raft Trip- Middle Fork provides an easy float along the river. Wildlife viewing is good here and the river is very easy to access. Float trips often begin in Lowell which is 22 miles upriver from Kooskia. Lewis and Clark interpretive trips are also available. After a long, difficult crossing of the Bitterroots, it was at this section of the Clearwater that Lewis & Clark finally came upon navigable waters.
