Buck Mountain Campground is set in a fir and pine forest near Johnson Creek. Johnson Creek has catchable trout and perch in it and the local wildlife that can be observed includes deer, elk, bears, elk, raptors, and waterfowl. There are a decent amount of hiking, mountain biking, and ATV trails in the area.
