Blackfoot River offers good whitewater boating. There are many wildlife viewing opportunities and a backcountry drive follows the canyon rim and offers views into the canyon and river below. Wildlife viewing opportunities are abundant.
The river is open during the summer months to visitors wanting to swim. It remains closed during the winter months for safety reasons.
