Bear Lake is a 120-square mile lake that straddles the Idaho-Utah border and offers swimming, power boating, waterskiing, sailing and fishing. Swimmers will enjoy a two-mile-long beach on the north end of the lake, plus a mile-and-a-half of beach on the east side. The gradual slope of the lake bottom provides an enormous swimming area. Ramps are available for boaters and water skiers.

Facilities: Bear Lake provides restrooms, a dump station, and boating facilities.

Directions: To reach Bear Lake from Montpelier start out going west on Clay Street toward north 4th Street for 0.1 mile. Turn left onto north 4th Street for 0.3 miles. Turn right onto Washington Street. Continue to follow US-89 for 10.0 miles. Turn left onto east Center Street for 0.1 miles to Bear Lake.
