Baumgartner Campground is set in pine and fir forest on the South Fork Boise. Campers gather their firewood locally. Supplies are available in Featherville located nearby. Trout fishing is available. Deer and elk reside in the area as well. There are 31 available sites with a maximum spur length of 27 feet.

Directions: To reach Baumgartner Campground from Boise, start out going southeast on Grove Street toward 6th Street for less than 0.1 miles. Turn right onto 6th Street and travel for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto Myrtle Street for 0.6 miles. Turn right onto Broadway Avenue for 2.8 miles. Merge onto Interstate 84 east via the ramp on the left toward Mountain Home/Twin Falls for 40.5 miles.

At the US-20, take exit 95 toward Mountain Home/Fairfield for 0.2 miles. Turn left onto US-20/ID-51/American Legion Boulevard. Continue to follow US-20 for 25.6 miles. Turn left onto Wood Creek Road. (Portions unpaved) for 9.3 miles. Turn slight left onto NF-61 (Portions unpaved) for 7.9 miles Turn right to stay on NF-61 (Portions unpaved) for 10.3 miles. Baumgartner Campground is located approximately 11 miles east of Featherville on Forest Route 227.
