Kewalo Basin provides a waterfront natural area for visitors and residents of Honolulu. The park encompasses three acres with an Oceanside pedestrian promenade,
The adjacent Ala Moana Beach Park lies immediately west of Waikiki and encompasses nearly 100 acres with a wide, sand beach spanning a mile. A lawn area lies north of the beach, where tennis courts and volley ball courts are maintained. Kewalo and Ala Moana combine to create a large urban park.
