The adjacent Ala Moana Beach Park lies immediately west of Waikiki and encompasses nearly 100 acres with a wide, sand beach spanning a mile. A lawn area lies north of the beach, where tennis courts and volley ball courts are maintained. Kewalo and Ala Moana combine to create a large urban park.
