Sugi Grove Primitive Campground

Sugi Grove Primitive Campground can be accessed via foot or four-wheel drive. It lies approximately four miles west of Kokee State Park Headquarters on Camp 10-Mohihi Road. The site lies within a sugi cedar tree grove planted in the 1930s. Sugi Grove Primitive Campground is prone to wet conditions during times of heavy rainfall.

Facilities: Sugi Grove Primitive Campground provides pit toilets and covered picnic tables. Water is available from Kawaikoi Stream, which lies between this campground and Kawaikoi Campground, but it must be treated before consumed.

Directions: To reach Sugi Grove Primitive Campground from Hanapepe, take Hwy 50 to Hwy 550. Follow 550 to Kokee State Park Headquarters. From here drive north on Hwy 550 and turn right on to the second dirt road. This is Camp 10-Mohihi Road. Three and a half miles from this turn is the Sugi Grove Primitive Campground. It lies on the right side of the road a short distance past Kawaikoi Campground.
