The Kahakai Trail stretches .25 mile (.54km) between Kuloa Point and the Kipahulu campground. Shoreline views along the ocean are beautiful...but watch your step along the cliffsides!

Open fires are prohibited due to high fire danger.
No firearms or fireworks.
Bikes are not allowed on park trails.
No pets.
Group size is limited to 12 persons.

Directions: Kahakai Trail is located within the Haleakala National Park.

To reach Haleakala National Park from Kahului, take roads 37, 377, and 378. Follow the signs posted along the Highway. The Summit area of Haleakala is a three hour round trip drive from Kahului. Follow the signs posted along the Highway.
To reach Haleakala National Park from Makawao, take Highway 365 to Highway 37. From 37 turn onto 377 and from 377 take 378 to the park.
