Grand Junction is the gateway city to the Colorado National Monument. Grand Junction is also bordered by Little Bookcliffs, steep walls that plummet from mesa to valley floor. The Colorado River, which carves its route through the Colorado Plateau, and the lava-formed Grand Mesa, the worlds largest flat-topped mountain. The dramatic 23-mile Rimrock Drive through the monument is not to be missed.
