This State Wildlife Area is a 1,427 acre tract straddling Cebolla Creek south of Gunnison. The Cebolla Creek has a healthy population of self-sustaining brown trout and a few rainbows.

Centennial State Wildlife Area - Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This State Wildlife Area lies in sage-covered hills north of the Blue Mesa Reservoir. This area is critical winter range for a large herd of deer.

Cochetopa State Wildlife Area - Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This wildlife area runs north, straddling the Cochetopa Creek from Dome Lakes to the confluence of Los Pinos Creek. Fish and duck hunting are popular activities here.

Curecanti National Recreation Area - National Recreation Areas
Three reservoirs, named for corresponding dams on the Gunnison River, form the heart of Curecanti National Recreation Area. Activities here range from hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, bird watching, boating, hunting, swimming, horseback riding, and fishing.
