Black Canyon of the Gunnison - Hiking In National Parks
This area offers outstanding opportunities for camping, hiking, viewing scenery, bird watching, wildlife viewing, climbing, fishing, rafting, kayaking, and in the winter months cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Cedar Point Nature Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
This 0.66 mile round-trip trail is rated as "easy" and allows many views of the river over 2,000 feet below.

Crag Crest National Recreation Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
This trail has been rated moderate with extremely heavy usage. This 10-mile trail starts at 10,377 feet in elevation and ends at 10,152 feet. There is a total of 700 feet in elevation change. This trail is open to hikers, horses and bikes.

Curecanti National Recreation Area - Hiking In National Recreation Areas
Three reservoirs, named for corresponding dams on the Gunnison River, form the heart of Curecanti National Recreation Area. Activities here range from hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, bird watching, boating, hunting, swimming, horseback riding, and fishing.

Deadhorse Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
This 5.0 mile round-trip trail is rated as "easy-moderate" and offers good views of Deadhorse gulch and East Portal on the Gunnison River.

East Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
This is a one-mile long ADA accessible trail that is six-feet wide and made of decomposed granite. The incline on this trail does not exceed more than 3 percent.

Indian Fire Nature Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
This trail, the western trail within Crawford State Park, is a half-mile long and very primitive.

Mesa Creek Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
This 1.5 mile round-trip trail is rated as "easy-moderate". Fishing and boating access are all available at the Crystal Reservoir.

Pine Creek Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
This two-mile round-trip trail is rated as "moderate-difficult". Fishing, camping, and boating access are all available at the Morrow Point Reservoir.
