Barr Lake State Park
This park is a nature enthusiasts dream. Over 300 species of birds have been spotted here. This is a quiet lake, boats with electric trolling motors or gasoline motors of 10 horsepower or less are permitted on Barr Lake. There is no camping in this State Park.

Bear Creek Park
For almost 100 acres, the park is divided by Bear Creek. The north side of the park provides picnic, playground and recreational facilities. The south side of Bear Creek Park is the largest undeveloped park area within Denver's city limits, offering a look at nature in a native setting.

Bergen Park
This park is located within the Denver Mountain Park System.

Bible Park
This is a 70-acre park of which approximately 35 acres are developed. This park contains four skinned softball fields, four football fields, four tennis courts, new playground, basketball court, and multi-use areas. The park also has restrooms and a parking lot and several picnic sites.

Corwina Park
This park is 297.82 acres situated in Bear Creek Canyon. Fishing, hiking, and picnic are available here.

Daniels Park
Most of the park is a Bison preserve and natural area where visitors can view the animals in a high-plains habitat.

Dedisse Park
Echo Lake Park is a 617-acre park 47 miles west of Denver. Soon after the park was acquired in 1920, a shelter house with picnic facilities near the lake was constructed.

Denver Zoo
Visitors can view nearly 4,000 different animals, representing over 750 species.

Devil's Head Lookout Trail #611
This is a moderately difficult 1.4-mile trail with elevations ranging from 8,800 to 9,748 feet.

Eldorado Canyon State Park
Eldorado Canyon offers hiking trails for all abilities, rainbow and brook trout fishing, biking, sightseeing, spectacular views and wildlife. Eldorado Canyon is a day-use only park and does not offer camping.

Fillius Park
This park is a 105-acre mountain woodland that the City and County of Denver acquired in 1914.

Genesee Park
Genesee is Denver's largest mountain park containing 2,341 acres. Hiking, picnicking, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and hiking trails are a few of the recreational activities permitted here.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park
Miles upon miles of mountain trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding and 155 campsites make Golden Gate Canyon accessible to everyone. Golden Gate Canyon is a great place for young anglers and fall color viewing.

Hutchinson Park
This is a small park with several picnic tables, an old style playground, and a park trail.

Inspiration Point Park
A large picnic court is provided at this City Park.

Lookout Mountain Park
This park is 65.7 acres with many scenic views, including a panorama of Denver and the plains.

Magna Carta Park
This is a 3.7-acre turf grass park that features a soccer field and small playground. The park has a park trail and a six-table picnic site.

Morrison Park
This park is a 20-acre tract of land along Bear Creek. Facilities in Little Park are charcoal grills, picnic area, and fishing.

Rosamond Park
The park features park trails, two un-skinned softball fields, two soccer fields, two football fields, four tennis courts, playground, basketball court, drinking fountain, and flower beds.

Ruby Hill Park
This area, named for red garnet colored stones found in the adjacent Platte River, provides popular year round activities. These include snow sledding, baseball, softball, outdoor swimming, and a playground designed for accessibility by children with disabilities.

Sloan's Lake Park
Located at Sheridan Boulevard & west 17th Avenue, this park features a basketball court, bicycle/pedestrian pathway, boating, football field, softball field, soccer field, tennis court, lighted tennis court, shelter, picnic area, flower gardens, two playgrounds, water skiing, and fishing.

Southmoor Park
This is a 17.5 acre, fully developed park that consists of a park trail, two un-skinned softball fields, two soccer fields, picnic shelter area, new playground and a basketball court.

St. Vrain State Park
This park features 60 campsites, great fishing for rainbow trout, catfish, crappie and bass, and excellent bird watching for waterfowl and many other species.

Summit Lake Park
At an elevation of 13,001 feet, this scenic park is the City and County of Denver's highest park. Fishing opportunities exist here.

The Colorado Railroad Museum
A replica of an 1880s-style depot, the museum building houses thousands of rare old photographs, artifacts and documents illustrating the colorful histories of the railroads which have served the state for over 125 years.

Turkey Park
In 1927, the City and County of Denver added 61 acres to the Mountain Park system called Turkey Creek Park.

Washington Park
Located at south Downing Street & east Louisiana Avenue, this park features a recreation center with indoor pool, bicycle/pedestrian pathway, boating, a crushed granite jogging path, fitness course, fishing, horseshoe pit, indoor pool, lawn bowling/croquet, soccer field, tennis courts, lighted tennis courts, two playgrounds, four picnic sites, boathouse pavilion, two lakes, 1/2 basketball court, two major flower gardens, and a youth fishing pond.
