This refuge is located in Kiowa County at the elevation of 4,128 feet. Coldwater stream fishing, wildlife viewing, and dove/waterfowl hunting are popular here.

Brown Lakes State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This area is a shallow reservoir located in the valley of Hermit Lakes Creek in the headwaters of the Rio Grande. The lake is managed as a cold-water fishery and has easy access on county roads.

Caracas Sites - Tent Developed
This area, located within the Navajo State Park, provides 40 individual camping sites for trailers/RVs. All sites are equipped with electrical hook-ups.

Cojones Campground - RV Primitive, Tent Primitive
There are 16 individual sites with ample parking space. Maneuvering space for trailers is limited, and the maximum size for RV's is 25'.

Cross Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground is located on the south end of Beaver Creek Reservoir among spruce and fir trees. There are a total of 11 individual campsites for trailers/RV's or tents.

East Fork Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
East Fork Campground is located in pine on a shady ridge with views of the Colorado Mountains. This campground has 26 sites available.

Highway Springs Campground - RV Primitive, Tent Primitive
The facilities include 11 campsites with tables and fireplaces, 5 campsites with fireplaces but no tables, 2 vault type toilets, trash cans and adequate turn around and parking space for RV's. No drinking water or firewood is provided.

Lost Trail Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
The facilities have seven sites, each with a parking spur, table and fire ring. A vault type toilet is provided. The drinking system, which is a well, is closed after Labor Day.

Lower Beaver Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
The facilities include 20 sites with tables and fireplaces, vault type toilets, centralized refuse bin and a developed drinking water system. This site is suitable for a large RV, up to 35'.

Lower Piedra Campground - RV Primitive, Tent Primitive
This campground contains 17 large, level sites in shady pine stands with views of the Piedra River.

Marshall Park Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
The facilities include 16 sites with parking spur, table and fire ring. Drinking water is provided with a well and is closed after Labor Day. Maximum trailer length is 30 feet.

Navajo State Park - Camping In State Parks
This 15,000 surface-acre reservoir extends for 35 miles south into New Mexico. Fishing, boating, camping, and wildlife viewing are popular at this State Park.

North Clear Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 25 sites and is located 24.5 miles west of Creede on Forest Road 510. 2 vault type toilets are provided and drinking water comes from a well. Maximum RV size is 30'.

Park Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
The facilities include 13 sites with tables and fireplaces (firewood is not provided), 2 vault type toilets, centralized refuse bin and a developed drinking water system with hand. Maximum RV size is 35'.

There are 20 sites which have tables and fire rings. Most sites will accommodate any sized trailer up to 32 feet and some sites can take a 35 foot unit. Drinking water is provided with two wells and sink water disposal is possible.

Road Canyon Reservoir State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This State Wildlife Area is managed as a put-and-grow fishery and stocked periodically with fingerling rainbows.

Rosa Sites - RV Full Hook-Up, Tent Primitive
This area, located within the Navajo State Park, provides 33 individual camping sites, 27 of which are for your trailer/RV. These 27 sites are full-hook-ups. The remaining six sites are designated for primitive tent camping only.

This campground contains shaded and open sites among spruce and fir with views of the Colorado Mountains. This campground has 65 sites available.

Williams Creek Reservoir State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This reservoir is maintained by annual stocking of fingerling Emerald Lake rainbow/natives, & kokanee salmon fry when available. Brook trout maintain their population by natural reproduction.
