This campground offers 4 campsites, 2 tables, fire rings, running water, and a vault toilet. Fishing in Battle Creek is possible from here. Maximum RV/trailer size is 20 feet.

Bear Lake Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 29 individual camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 40 feet.

Big Creek Lakes Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 54 individual camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 45 feet.

Blacktail Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 8 individual camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 18 feet.

Bottle Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 16 campsites with a host on site. Hiking and fishing opportunities and a short trail to McClure Overlook originates here. Maximum RV/trailer length is 45 feet.

Bridge Island Sites - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground, located within the Steamboat Lake State Park, provides 33 individual campsites, 19 of which are for trailers/RV's. These sites do NOT have electrical hook-ups. The remaining 14 sites are designated for tent camping.

Brown's Park State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
During earlier times, this area (currently Brown's Park State Wildlife Area) north of the Green River served as a wintering grounds for bands of Ute and Shoshone Indians, as well as outlaws Butch Cassidy and Tom Horn.

Deep Creek Campground - RV Primitive, Tent Primitive
This campground offers 12 campsites. Fishing and hiking opportunities exists. Maximum RV/trailer length is 22 feet.

Delaney Butte Lakes State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
One of these three lakes is classified as "Gold Medal Water", one of only two lakes with such a distinct fishing classification in Colorado.

Diamond Breaks Wilderness Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
Activities in this wilderness area include hiking, back country camping, and wildlife viewing.

Dinosaur National Monument - Camping In National Recreation Areas

This campground offers 8 camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. This area provides access to some great hiking, biking (on the roadway) and mountain biking on the Spring Creek Trail. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 16 feet.

Dumont Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 22 camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. The area offers fly fishing in the lake and streams, access to hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking on the many nearby dirt roads and trails. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 40 feet.

East Marvine Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 7 individual camping sites within a grove of pine with views of the mountains. Horse trails and hiking trails are nearby. Maximum RV/trailer size is 50 feet.

Echo Park Campground - Tent Developed
This campground is located within 40 miles of headquarters for the Dinosaur National Monument. There are a total of 21 individual camping sites here, all designated for tents.

Elliot Creek Campground - RV Primitive, Tent Primitive
This campground offers 28 individual camping sites near the north side of the Green Mountain Reservoir. Hiking trails are in the area.

Encampment River Wilderness Area - Camping In Wilderness Areas
Here in the northernmost extension of the Southern Rocky Mountains, the Encampment River flows north out of Colorado. Fishing, hiking, and backcountry camping are popular recreational activities here.

Freeman Reservoir Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 17 camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. This area accesses several hiking, horseback and biking trails. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 22 feet.

French Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 11 campsites. Fishing and hiking opportunities exists. Maximum RV/trailer length is 22 feet.

Granite Campground - RV Primitive, Tent Primitive
This campground offers 8 camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. This campground is located on the shore of Fish Creek Reservoir. Fishing is available, however, Fish Creek Reservoir is restricted to electric motors or hand propelled boats only. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 22 feet.

Green River Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground is located within five miles of the Dinosaur Quarry. There are 88 individual camping sites available for tents or trailers/RV's. This campground is open during the winter, but the water is turned off.

Hahns Peak Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 25 camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Recreation activities at this campground include fishing, hiking, and small boating. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 40 feet.

Harding Spur Sites Campground - RV Developed
This campground, located within the Stagecoach State Park, offers 18 individual campsites for trailers/RV's. These sites do NOT have any hook-ups.

Harebell Sites - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground, located within the Steamboat Lake State Park, provides 17 individual campsites for trailers/RV's. These sites do NOT have electrical hook-ups. All of these sites do come with a tent pad.

Haskins Creek Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 10 campsites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Fishing and hiking opportunities exist. The Huston Park Wilderness Area is nearby. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 20 feet.

Hill Creek Dispersed Camping Area - Tent Primitive
This campground offers numerous dispersed camping areas. Multiple hiking trails are also nearby.

Himes Peak Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 11 individual camping areas in a grove of pine trees along with mountain views. Fishing opportunities include the North Fork Creek, Big Fish Creek, and Rainbow Lake. Hiking and horse trails are also nearby.

Hinman Park Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 13 camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Nearby stream fishing, hiking and biking opportunities are popular recreational activities. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 22 feet.

Indian Run State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This wildlife area provides an access point and parking area for big-game hunters traveling to the Beaver Flat Tops region of Routt National Forest. This receives a considerable amount of use during big-game hunting seasons.

Irish Canyon Wilderness - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
Irish Canyon is a relatively small, remote and highly scenic canyon. Twelve of the twenty-two geological formations found in the eastern end of the Uintah Mountains occur here. Hiking, camping, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing are all available here.

Jensen State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This area is a critical winter range and calving/fawning grounds for both elk and deer. This wildlife area lies within the range of 30,000 head of elk in the White River herd.

Junction City Campground - RV Developed
This campground, located within the Stagecoach State Park, offers 26 individual campsites for trailers/RV's. These sites have electrical hook-ups, and are all located alongside the Stagecoach Reservoir.

Lake John State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This is the most popular reservoir in this county, mainly because it produces trophy-sized trout.

Larkspur Sites - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground, located within the Steamboat Lake State Park, provides 14 individual campsites for trailers/RV's. All of these sites come with electrical hook-ups and a tent pad.

Little Snake State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
Rolling hills dominate the landscape as gulches provide food, water, shelter & cover for a large population of deer, pronghorn antelope & sage grouse. Deer, elk, Waterfowl and other small game may be spotted here.

Lupine Sites - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground, located within the Steamboat Lake State Park, provides seven individual campsites for trailers/RV's. All of these sites come with electrical hook-ups and a tent pad.

Marvine Campground - Equestrian Developed, RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 18 individual campsites situated in a grove of pine with mountain views. Stream and fly-fishing are both nearby. Hiking and horse trails are in the area. Maximum RV/Trailer length is 28 feet.

McKindley Sites Campground - RV Developed
This campground, located within the Stagecoach State Park, offers 10 individual campsites for trailers/RV's. These sites do NOT have any hook-ups.

Meadow Lake Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 10 individual campsites on the shore of Meadow Lake. Only hand and electric powered boats are permitted on the lake. Maximum RV/Trailer length is 16 feet.

This campground offers 31 individual camping sites within the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Nearby stream fishing, hiking and biking opportunities are popular recreational activities. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 40 feet.

Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area - Camping In Wilderness Areas
Just south of the Wyoming border in the Routt National Forest, the wilderness occupies 140,000 acres of unspoiled alpine terrain. Backcountry camping and wildlife viewing are popular recreational activities here.

North Fork Campground - RV Developed, Tent Developed
This campground offers 39 individual campsites situated in an aspen forest. Recreation opportunities include fly-fishing on a nearby stream, hiking, and horse trails. Maximum RV/Trailer length is 60 feet.

Oak Ridge State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This wildlife area provides over 8,000 acres of fishing and hunting opportunities. Trout fishing is popular at both Lake Avery and on the White River.

Owl Mountain State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This 920 acre mountainous area in Jackson County has hunting for elk, deer, and blue grouse.

Pearl Lake State Park - Camping In State Parks
This area, nestled in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, offers peace and quiet in a lush forest setting. Fishing, wakeless boating, and camping are among the most popular activities at this State Park.

Piceance State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This is a complicated array of both large and small parcels of land scattered across the Piceance Plateau. Big-game, blue grouse, duck, sage grouse, mountain lion and rabbit may be spotted in this area. Primitive camping is available.

This campground, located within the Stagecoach State Park, offers 38 individual campsites for trailers/RV's. These sites have electrical hook-ups, and are all located alongside the Stagecoach Reservoir.

Richard State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This State Wildlife Area is situated just south of the Lake John State Wildlife Area.

Rio Blanco Lake State Wildlife Area - Camping In Wildlife Preserves & Refuges
This lake is noted for its trophy sized northern pike. Camping is permitted in designated areas.

Routt-Medicine Bow National Forest - Camping In National Forests
The Routt-Medicine Bow National Forest has diverse topography consisting of high plateaus, rolling foothills and mountains. Elevations exceed 13,000 feet in some locations. The Routt National Forest manages four congressionally designated Wilderness areas, which offer a wide variety of recreational opportunities for visitors.

Stagecoach State Park - Camping In State Parks
This reservoir hosts a variety of water sports, including boating, jet-skiing, water-skiing, swimming, sailboarding and canoeing. Camping and a trail system are also available.

Steamboat Lake State Park - Camping In State Parks
