Designated in 1993, this area has over 60 alpine lakes, 400 miles of streams and nearly 400 miles of trails. The Pike and San Isabel National Forests and The Comanche National Grassland The Pike and San Isabel National Forests and The Comanche National Grassland offers nearly 3 million acres of public lands from the short grass prairies to the alpine tundra. This area offers a wide variety of recreation for all visitors.
