Cache la Poudre Wilderness Area
This is Colorado's smallest federally protected wilderness. Although small in size this area supports a varied habitat containing forests of Douglas fir, ponderosa pine and lodgepole pine.

Comanche Peak Wilderness Area
With 66,791-acres, this area was named after its prominent 12,702 foot peak, which is its highest point.

Rawah Wilderness Area
The Rawah Wilderness Area preserves a 76,394-acre area located on the east side of the Medicine Bow Mountains in north central Colorado. This area offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities for all season.
